The American Bar Association, one of the largest voluntary professional associations in the world, leased 61,000 square feet at the 12-story office building at 1050 Connecticut Ave. NW in Washington, DC. The ABA's new headquarters will occupy the entire fourth floor of the property, as well as part of the fifth. The tenant is expected to move in to the space late second quarter of next year for a 15-year term.
The group will relocate from 740 15th St. NW, a 171,294-square-foot office building now owned by The John Buck Co. The ABA sold the property to John Buck last December, and is operating on a short-term lease until it moves. ...
... Arthur Greenberg, Bie Chu Lee and John Goodman of Studley represented the ABA.
