Moffitt cancer center leasing new offices offsite

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute has signed a major new lease to relocate some staff and functions to Telecom Park.

For now, many of Moffitt's administrative and support people work away from Moffitt's main campus bordering the University of South Florida. They use leased space near Busch Gardens and across from USF on Fowler Avenue, Moffitt spokeswoman Patty Kim said.

The cancer center has signed a new lease on 128,759 square feet inside the Intellicenter One building in Telecom Park, a business park east of the USF campus in Temple Terrace, according to Studley, the real estate firm representing Moffitt.

Many of Moffitt's administrative staff will be consolidated into the new building in phases ending in 2013. Intellicenter One is a 200,000-square-foot office building finished in 2008. ...
