New space accommodates firm's rapid growth

In an effort to accommodate its growing number of tenant advisors and staff, Studley announced today that is expanding its DC office space by 3,000 square feet. 

Studley currently occupies 13,000 square feet on the fourth floor of 555 13th St. NW. The expansion represents a 25 percent increase in the firm’s office footprint and comes on the heels of one of the most profitable years in the company’s 45-year history.  The additional space will bring the commercial real estate firm’s total square footage in the building to 16,000 square feet.

According to Studley Executive Vice President and Co-Regional Manager David Lipson, it is the office’s fourth office expansion in seven years.

Since January, Studley has added 14 brokerage professionals and to its DC regional office roster, which represents a 34% increase in its overall headcount this year.   In 2011, the firm’s local DC area offices transacted more than 6 million square feet of leases on behalf of tenants, representing 22% of the total leasing activity in the DC region, including five of the ten largest leasing transactions in Washington, DC.
