ODIN, FELDMAN & PITTLEMAN INKS 53,918 SF LEASE TO RELOCATE HEADQUARTERS TO RESTON, VA
Fairfax, VA (November 16, 2011)
Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, one of Virginia's premier law firms, has signed a long term, 53,918-square-foot lease to relocate its offices to 1775 Wiehle Avenue in Reston, VA, making it the largest lease by a law firm in Fairfax County in over three years. The firm plans to relocate from its current building at 9302 Lee Highway in Fairfax, VA, to Wiehle Avenue in Fall 2012.
"As the expiration of our current lease approached, the firm evaluated our increasing space needs based on projected growth," stated Douglas Ross, a principal with Odin, Feldman & Pittleman's litigation practice group and spokesperson for the firm's Board of Directors. "Our 54-attorney firm had clearly outgrown the current office infrastructure, requiring additional office and meeting space."
Over a two year period, the law firm's real estate advisor, Studley, Inc., carefully evaluated, both qualitatively and quantitatively, many outstanding building alternatives, finally selecting the clear choice at 1775 Wiehle Avenue.
"On top of negotiating a long term lease at very competitive rates, we were able to secure a sizeable Tenant Improvement Allowance and concession package for Odin, Feldman & Pittleman," said Julie Schuelke, Studley's Executive Vice President. "The firm will also have exceptional expansion rights in order to ensure flexibility for future growth."
"This location, approximately one block from the future Wiehle Avenue Metrorail station, strategically positions Odin, Feldman & Pittleman to our growing client base, the Reston Town Center, and the future development of Reston and western Fairfax County," added Doug Ross.
Odin, Feldman & Pittleman was represented by Studley Corporate Managing Director Wendy Feldman Block and Executive Vice President Julie Schuelke in the transaction. Jeff Roman and Mike Pepper of CB Richard Ellis represented the building's landlord, Normandy Partners.
