Reinvestment Fund Inks Long Lease at 1700 Market

Long rumored and finally completed, The Reinvestment Fund (TRF) has signed a 15-year lease on 22,000 square feet at 1700 Market St. in Center City. The organization will relocate from the Cast Iron Building at 718 Arch St. where it has made its home for more than two decades, in a move that serves as an example of how tenants can seize on a down market and take fancier quarters on the cheap. Other tenants, such as Drucker & Scaccetti and Marshall Dennehey, have recently done the same.

The deal wasn’t without its challenges, said Tim Monahan, who along with colleague Patrick McGrath at Studley Inc. represented the tenant in the lease. Jack Soloff and Craig Scheuerle of Grubb & Ellis represented the landlord at 1700. ...
