International commercial real estate services firm Studley has promoted seven professionals in the firm’s New York City headquarters:
• Rick Drescher was promoted to managing director, technical services from director, technical services;
• Dean Feratovic was promoted to director, human resources, from manager of human resources and professional development;
• Joe LaBarbera was promoted to director of finance from senior financial analyst;
• Jia Li Chen was promoted to senior corporate accountant, from financial analyst;
• Rose Panos was promoted to event marketing manager from marketing associate;
• Colin Johnson was promoted to financial analyst from staff accountant;
• Melinda Wright was promoted to graphics specialist from graphics assistant
These promotions, along with the broker promotions and awards, were announced at the firm’s recent summer outing in San Francisco.
Rick Drescher (30) joined Studley in 2003 as a consultant and has worked for the firm on staff for the last five years. As managing director of technical services, he is responsible for overseeing the Help Desk, systems and network groups within the firms IT department. Additionally, he oversees his team members within the department and works on all related contracts and large project planning and execution. In addition to having managed Studley’s IT migration twice, he assists Studley clients with moving their information technology when they relocate to new office space.
In his new role as director of human resources and professional development, Dean Feratovic (31) is responsible for administrating human resources policies across the firm. Specifically, he ensures that all human resource processes are in compliance with company and employment labor laws. In addition, he is responsible for managing and overseeing the administration of the firm’s benefit programs. Mr. Feratovic also manages hiring, career development, and compensation planning.
Formerly a senior financial analyst at Studley, Joe LaBarbera (32) joined the firm four-and-a-half years ago. In his new position as the director of finance, he is responsible for the financial modeling and analysis of the firm’s acquisitions. Additionally, he manages the company’s equity and investment fund valuation and analysis.
Jia Li Chen
Jia Li Chen (28) joined Studley in 2003 as a staff accountant, was promoted to a financial analyst in 2007, and now serves as a senior corporate accountant. As a senior corporate accountant, her primary responsibilities include co-managing the preparation of the company’s financial statements, and organizing and monitoring the company’s annual budget. She also manages the implementation and administration of the company’s online banking applications.
Rose Panos (28) joined the firm two-and-a-half years ago. In her new role as event marketing manager, she is responsible for event operations and logistics, as well as planning and executing client events, trade shows and meetings. She develops and implements marketing initiatives, including corporate sponsorships and direct-mail campaigns, and manages the company’s branded promotional goods.
Colin Johnson (26) joined the firm in 2007 as a staff accountant. Promoted to financial analyst, his primary responsibility is to monitor the company’s profitability by analyzing financial statements, administering the company’s annual budget, and reviewing revenue. In addition, he works with the finance team to model investment opportunities and control potential risks.
Melinda Wright (38) joined Studley in January 2009 as a graphics assistant. In her new position as a graphics specialist, her primary responsibilities include designing, creating and producing pitch books, presentations, documents, and various meeting materials used by Studley’s brokers on a daily basis.
