Lawson Products moving HQ, 400 jobs to Chicago from Des Plaines

Lawson Products Inc. is moving its headquarters to an office building near O'Hare International Airport where it has signed a lease for about 86,300 square feet of space.

The distributor of maintenance and repair supplies is moving from Des Plaines to Triangle Plaza, a two-building complex owned by Commonwealth REIT, a Newton, Mass.-based investor, according to Studley, Lawson's broker in the transaction.

Occupying nearly four floors in the building at 8770 Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago, Lawson will be the biggest tenant in the 14-story, 315,400-square-foot tower, according to Studley. About 400 Lawson employees will move to the new headquarters from Des Plaines. ...
