Thompson Hine Becomes Latest Tenant To Sign Lease At Tishman Speyer's Two Alliance Center
National Law Firm To Relocate Atlanta Office joining Other Blue Chip Companies At New Buckhead Office Tower

Tishman Speyer announced today that Thompson Hine LLP has signed an 11-year lease, taking 30,048 square feet at Buckhead’s Two Alliance Center.  The national law firm is relocating its regional office from Midtown Atlanta and is expected to move in later this year.  

Headquartered in Cleveland, Thompson Hine is a business law firm established in 1911. For the last several years, the firm has been named one of the Best Corporate Law Firms in America (in an annual survey of corporate directors conducted by Corporate Board Member magazine). With approximately 400 lawyers, Thompson Hine serves premier businesses worldwide. In addition to Atlanta, the firm has offices in Brussels, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, New York and Washington, D.C.

The lease transaction announced today extends Tishman Speyer’s success in attracting blue-chip tenants to Two Alliance Center.  In late 2009, Marsh & McLennan took 125,000 square feet at Two Alliance, a deal which stood out as Buckhead’s largest new lease in a decade.  Turner Construction Company then signed for 30,000 square feet at the property.  Earlier this month, Novelis Inc. announced it would consolidate its world and U.S. headquarters at Two Alliance, signing a lease for over 100,000 square feet.  The building is now nearly 60 percent leased. 

Completed less than one year ago, Two Alliance Center is 30-story, 500,000-square-foot trophy-quality office building standing at Buckhead’s best business location.  It features visually stunning and efficient design elements, along with dramatic skyline views.  It was recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council as the first LEED Gold certified building in Buckhead and as one of just a few in Atlanta, reinforcing Tishman Speyer’s commitment to sustainable development.  Two Alliance offers covered parking, an array of first-class on-site amenities, and direct or convenient access to GA 400, Peachtree Road, MARTA public transportation and Atlanta’s finest shopping, cuisine and world-class hotels. 

Thomson Hine was represented in the transaction by Executive Vice President Andrew Lechter and Managing Director Josh Hirsh.  Chris Ahrenkiel of Tishman Speyer represented the building’s ownership.
