Atlanta is benefiting from the recent M&A activity in the tech sector. Even better, when those companies merge, few, if any, jobs are being lost. That's according to the latest Studley report on metro Atlanta's office market. And instead of taking a picture of the Studley report, we went ahead and snapped this shot of our skyline.
Studley also is reporting that Atlanta job growth -- at least with jobs that use office space-- has finally eked into positive territory as of 2011, although the report notes it's merely 1,050 of the 70,546 office-using jobs lost during the recession, a meager 1.5% recovery rate that falls well short of the 15.4% national rate." We'll take what we can get, though, right? On a more positive note, Studley reports that 68% of executives with Georgia-based companies expect to increase hiring this year.
