The federal government has inked a major lease deal at the Norman Pointe II office building, at the southwest corner of the intersection of Highway 100 and Interstate 494. The deal will fill up the building, which has been substantially empty since it was completed in October 2007.

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will lease 244,561 square feet in the building for three to five years. The short-term deal offers a temporary home for federal workers from the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building at Fort Snelling, while that building is being renovated. ...

... The CB Richard Ellis team of Jim Freytag, Dave Marschinke, Josh Johnson and Brian Wasserman represented Duke in the deal. The GSA was represented by the New York-based Studley, a tenant representation firm.

The GSA is slated to take the space in June 2011 and will be there for three to five years.  ...
