Woody Heller
AWARD: Louis Smadbeck Broker Recognition
TITLE:Executive managing director and group head, Capital Transactions Group, Studley

In his 28-year career in real estate, Mr. Heller has orchestrated many standout deals, including the sale of the Citigroup Center and the purchase of the Drake Hotel development site, as well as the leasing of the Rhinelander Mansion to Polo Ralph Lauren. Over the course of his career, Mr. Heller has closed more than $6.5 billion worth of asset and note sale transactions involving about 33 million square feet of properties, including the Chrysler Building. In 2007, Mr. Heller's crafting of the sale of the New York Law School site in TriBeCa won REBNY's Most Ingenious Deal of the Year award. Today, he sits on REBNY's sales brokers committee and is also a member of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association.


William Montana
AWARD: Young Real Estate Man of the Year
TITLE: Managing director of Studley

Since signing on with Studley in 1996, Mr. Montana, 48, has advised companies including Microsoft, Sony and Sullivan & Cromwell on real estate matters. He began his real estate career at Newmark Group in 1988 and then moved on to Edward S. Gordon Co. He is the chairman of REBNY's commercial board of directors, and a member of its board of governors and ethics committee. He also sits on the board of the New York City Clothing Bank and raises money for the Stamford, Conn., homeless shelter, the Starlight Foundation and the U.N. Development Fund, among others. The University of Colorado-Boulder graduate is also a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus.
