AMEC Oil & Gas Americas has locked in a long-term headquarters lease at 10777 Clay Road in an early renewal deal that secures the building's main occupant for landlord Behringher Harvard.

The engineering and project management firm restructured and renewed its lease for 227,486 square feet three years prior to its expiration. The deal was completed near the end of last year.

"We did a transaction that was very light on their capital requirements and more heavy on concessions," Mark O'Donnell, a broker with Studley who represented AMEC, said of Behringer Harvard.

The Westway Park property was built for AMEC's predecessor, Paragon Engineering Services, in 1999 and then expanded with a second, connected building in 2003. A portion of the space is occupied by Subsea 7 under a sublease. ...

... AMEC Oil & Gas Americas is part of London-based AMEC and employs 550 locally, including its Sam Houston Crossing site.
