International commercial real estate services firm Studley has announced the promotion of William (Will) Silverman to the position of Senior Managing Director of its Manhattan-based Capital Transactions Group.
Since joining the firm in 2003, Mr. Silverman, 32, has closed nearly $4 billion of sale transactions in the New York market comprising nearly 15 million square feet. Notable transactions include the recapitalization of the Drake Hotel Site, the sale of 100-104 Fifth Avenue, the sale of the Bloomingdale’s in Soho and the sale of Knickerbocker Village, a 1 million square root residential complex in Lower Manhattan.
In his new post, Mr. Silverman, formerly Corporate Managing Director of the Capital Transactions Group, will continue to work closely with Studley Executive Managing Director Woody Heller on a wide range of real estate investment activities, including the sale and recapitalization of equity and debt relating to office, residential, development and retail assets.
Prior to joining Studley, Mr. Silverman worked at Insignia/ESG, and before that, J.P. Morgan Securities.
Mr. Silverman, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from Tufts University, is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York and the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York.
