Studley Promotes Patrick McGrath to Managing Director

Patrick McGrath (31), a specialist in real estate corporate finance, has been promoted to managing director from assistant director.

With a background in economics, corporate finance and quantitative analysis, Mr. McGrath is well equipped to advise clients on complicated business decisions with regard to their real estate requirements, both regionally and nationally.  

Some of his recent noteworthy transactions include the 2009 acquisition of 11401 Lamar Avenue on behalf of Black and Veatch that was the winner of the Capstone award for Kansas City’s Top Real Estate Project, the recent relocation of the headquarters of StarCite Inc. to 1600 Market Street in Philadelphia, and ongoing transaction consulting and analysis for clients such as Graham Partners, The Reinvestment Fund, and H.I.G. Capital.

In addition to advising a diverse array of clients including many large Philadelphia-based law firms, Mr. McGrath actively participates in recruting the next generation of talent to Studley by visiting top-tier universities throughout the Northeast.

Mr. McGrath joined Studley’s San Francisco office as a market and financial analyst after graduating from Emory University in 2001. He then moved to Studley’s Philadelphia office in 2003 as an assistant director.

Among his philanthropic activities, Mr. McGrath is on the board of the Philadelphia Civil War Museum, is a mentor for Philadelphia Futures and has been recognized for his volunteer work with Best Buddies of America and the MDA Society.  He is also a former chair of the Emory Young Alumni Association.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in macro-economics and Spanish from Emory University, and recently attended the Wharton School’s Leadership Development Camp and the Wharton School Himalayan Leadership Trek.
