DNA Model Management, a leading modeling agency with a Who’s Who clientele including Linda Evangelista and Doutzen Kroes, has relocated its Manhattan headquarters to 555 West 25th Street, expanding its space by nearly 50 percent.
The company signed a 10-year, 7,200-square-foot lease to occupy the entire top floor of the six-story Chelsea building. The agency is currently located on the entire top floor at 520 Broadway in SoHo, where it has been based for the past 10 years.
International commercial real estate services firm Studley’s Managing Director Zev Holzman, with Associate Casey Lewis, represented DNA in the transaction.
“This deal represents the kinds of real estate transactions that are helping to transform West Chelsea,” said Mr. Holzman. “DNA is a blue chip modeling agency opting to leave SoHo for Chelsea to occupy unique, sexy space in a submarket that is rapidly becoming more appealing to creative office tenants.”
“We also secured aggressive economics on behalf of our client,” added Mr. Holzman.
“The space, with its exclusive rooftop access and breath-taking views of the Hudson River, is ideal,” said Mr. Holzman, who added that West Chelsea, known primarily for its gallery space, is attracting office tenants, many of which are being priced out of SoHo and Tribeca, to its plethora of generous loft spaces.
DNA will move to its new offices upon completion of the build-out in the early fall.
Mark Furst of Cassidy Turley represented the landlord in the transaction. Attorneys were Steve Swiatkiewicz Esq. of Katsky Korins LLP for the tenant and Joel B. Singer Esq. for the landlord.
