Davis Wright Tremaine LLP renewed its lease for 43,801 square feet of Class A office space at 865 South Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles. The international full service law firm occupies the full 24th and 25th floors and a portion of the 23rd, and has been a tenant in the building since 1999.
Andrew Lustgarten, corporate managing director with global tenant advisory firm Studley, represented the law firm in the transaction.
“After touring and exchanging proposals with multiple buildings and building owners in downtown, our client was able to stay at 865 South Figueroa at an attractive rental rate while securing maximum lease flexibility going forward. Additionally, the law firm’s leadership is very happy with the office’s central location and ease of parking,” said Lustgarten, who is based in Studley’s downtown Los Angeles office.
865 South Figueroa is a Class A, 35-story, 700,000-square-foot office tower constructed in 1990 and is in close proximity to the Staples Center/LA Live.
The owner, Manulife Financial, was represented in the transaction in-house by Parker Jones. Studley is also representing Davis Wright Tremaine in San Francisco and New York.
