International commercial real estate services firm Studley has announced its support of the Haitian relief efforts by donating $10,000 to the American Red Cross and by helping the Greater Washington Haitian Relief Committee secure 34,000 square feet of warehouse space to house goods being collected by the organization.

“We are happy to be able to not only make a financial contribution to the Haitian relief efforts, but to also provide a meaningful service for them,” shared Mitchell Steir, Studley CEO and chairman. ...

... The space, which is being donated by ProLogis and is located in the developer’s Hampton Central Distribution Center in Capital Heights, Maryland, is slated to house both the products being collected and the U-Haul vehicles to deliver them.  ...

According to Studley’s Adam Schindler of the firm’s DC office, not only was Studley able find the space quickly, but because of the firm’s experience in a similar matter, it was familiar with the special documentation necessary to get the organization into the temporary space quickly. ...

... “Time was of the essence,” shared Schindler, who orchestrated this all on Monday the 18th.  “We appreciate ProLogis stepping up to the plate and hope that our joint efforts make a difference to those suffering in Haiti."
