Texas Lawyers Double Down in Plaza District

A Houston-based law firm is shifting its Manhattan office from one Plaza District location to another ten blocks south and twice the size.

Susman Godfrey LLP has signed a 10-year lease for 16,325 square feet at 560 Lexington Ave. The law firm will occupy the entire 15th floor of the 22-story building at East 50th Street, which is owned by Rudin Management Co. According to CoStar Group, the average asking rent for the building is $46 per square foot....

“Only four years after opening its New York office, Susman made this long-term commitment to accommodate its rapidly growing New York office,” said Jarod Stern of Studley who, along with his colleague Brad Wolk, represented Susman Godfrey in the transaction, adding that being in midtown was also "a top priority."...
