SILLIKER INVESTS IN $9.8M LABORATORY IN ILLINOIS

Silliker Inc., an international network of food testing and consulting laboratories, has broken ground on a new laboratory in Crete, Ill. The organization's Chicago Heights and Southland, Ill. operations will be consolidated into the new facility on an 11-acre site.

When completed mid next year at Steger Road and Illinois 394, the 71,000-square-foot facility will be one of the largest food testing laboratories in the United States. The building, which has a reported cost of $9.8 million, will house Silliker's research and development team. ...
