..."Studley’s expanding with a new office and new hires so we stopped by and found new associate director of industrial services Holden Rushing with (not new) managing director Mark O’Donnell. Mark tells us the latest two hires (including managing director of project management Ed Bowerman to handle construction) are the tail end of a year-long expansion push that doubled the producer ranks to 22. Mark says focusing on what “the market” is doing can be a misconception—specific locations, building values, owners, debt structures, etc., matter more. For example, Ed’s handling a 130k SF buildout for an energy-related engineering firm’s move to a new corporate HQ. Mark negotiated the lease, which is nearly half the size of the company’s old office. Fun fact: Holden is the lead singer of a local band, which he describes as “rock and roll with an indie-folky-country feel.” ...
