Thompson Hine Expands, Relocates DC Office to 1919 M Street NW
Washington, DC (November 3, 2011)
Thompson Hine LLP has signed a long term 33,000-square-foot lease to expand and relocate its DC headquarters to 1919 M Street NW, according to its real estate advisor Studley.

The law firm, which presently occupies 26,062 square feet at 1920 N Street NW, will be subleasing space on the seventh floor of the building from Bingham McCutchen LLP.

"We are excited about the pending move, having outgrown our existing space," said David Wilson, partner-in-charge of Thompson Hineâ??s Washington office. "Our cross-practice, cross-office approach to customized client service requires it. Our new space will also feature offices that can be used by clients from around the world when they are in the area," he added.

The firm secured the furnished office space with updated floor plans and premier amenities at a favorable rental rate. In addition, Wilson added, "It's a stone's throw from our current space, which means minimal disruption to operations and client service."

Studley's Geoffrey Adaire, Laurent Myers, Adam Singer and Erik Binkowski represented Thompson Hine LLP in the transaction. Randy Lennon and Josh Kreider of Cushman & Wakefield represented Bingham McCutchen LLP.

1919 M Street is a 280,000-square-foot Class A office building located at the corner of 20th and M Streets in the heart of the Central Business District. The location offers direct access to Georgetown, Capitol Hill, government agencies and is just steps away from the Farragut North and Farragut West Metro stations. The building features a dramatic lobby, distinctive facade, and a first-class fitness center for the building's tenants.

Thompson Hine LLP is expected to take occupancy in the building by January 2012.
