Ness Hamaoui Returns to Studley as Executive Managing Director
Los Angeles, CA (July 19, 2011)
Ness Hamaoui has rejoined Studley as an executive managing director, announced President Michael Colacino. Hamaoui will continue to specialize in strategic planning and portfolio management for leased and owned properties in Southern California and throughout the U.S. He will be based in the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office.

Hamaoui joins from Cushman & Wakefield where he was most recently an executive director and served as a member of the firm’s National Broker Advisory Committee.

“Ness consistently generates results that exceed even the loftiest of expectations of many of the most recognized brand names in the U.S.,” said Colacino. “We’re glad he has chosen to return home to the Studley family.”

A recognized expert in large, complex transactions, Hamaoui is particularly adept at real estate consolidations following corporate merger and acquisition activity.  He has built an impressive portfolio of local and national clients – a veritable who’s who in business including Sony/BMG, Kia Motors America and Singapore Airlines.

Recent transactions include a 60,000-square-foot relocation in Los Angeles on behalf of Sony Music; a 60,000-square-foot lease in Englewood, CO, and a 45,000-square-foot lease in Herndon, VA, both on behalf of Sierra Nevada Corporation; and a 50,000-square-foot lease in Coral Gables, FL, on behalf of AECOM. As AECOM’s single point of contact, Hamaoui has, through strategic restructuring and consolidation, saved the professional technical and management support services firm an estimated $6.5 million over the past five years.

Hamaoui is a 20-year veteran of the industry and a former member of the Studley team from 1996-2001.  He points to the firm’s unique position as the only pure tenant representation firm in the market as the key factor in his decision to return.

Hamaoui is a graduate of California-Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
