Atlanta, GA (September 7, 2012)
Kutak Rock LLP, a national law firm with a wide array of practice areas including business, corporate, real estate, public finance and litigation, has signed a long term 20,000-square-foot lease to relocate its office to SunTrust Plaza at 303 Peachtree Street NE in downtown Atlanta, according to its real estate advisor Studley. The law firm, which has been located at Peachtree Center for the last 16 years, plans to move into its new space in September 2012.

“We continue to be strongly committed to downtown Atlanta,” said Kutak Rock Managing Partner David Amsden. “Studley’s knowledge of the market helped us relocate into a premier Class A trophy tower which will allow us to operate more efficiently, be more attractive to potential lateral hires and better serve our client base in Atlanta.”

According to Amsden, the move will allow the law firm to significantly reduce its operating expenses over the remaining term of its existing lease.

“There are excellent opportunities for tenants right now in downtown Atlanta and Kutak Rock is an example of a law firm that took advantage of a flight to quality by exploring its options in a proactive manner,” said Studley Executive Vice President and Branch Manager Andrew Lechter, who represented Kutak Rock along with Michael Broome and Tom Kubis of Studley’s Atlanta office.

“One of the appeals to SunTrust Plaza is its financially strong ownership, which is especially critical in today’s economic climate,” added Lechter.

Located in downtown Atlanta, SunTrust Plaza is the city’s second tallest office tower offering a variety of amenities including fine and casual dining, fitness facilities and a conference center. Kutak Rock will occupy the 27th floor of the building.

Travis Garland of Portman Management Company represented the building’s landlord, SunTrust Plaza Associates LLC, which is comprised of SunTrust Banks, Inc and Peachtree 400 Associates, Ltd, a Portman affiliate.
