Chicago, IL (October 8, 2012)
Chicago-based IES Abroad, one of the nation’s oldest and most reputable study abroad providers, has signed a 27,816-square-foot lease to relocate its headquarters to 33 West Monroe Street.

The not-for-profit organization currently occupies two floors at 33 N. LaSalle Street and will relocate to the 23rd floor at 33 West Monroe Street later this year.

James Stein, along with Tiffany Winne and Lisa Davidson of Studley, represented the tenant in the transaction. The landlord, AmTrust Realty, was represented in house by Faye Oomen.

“IES is a great organization with an important mission and an impressive reputation. I’m pleased we were able to achieve a result for them which fit all their criteria for a new headquarters – despite a rising real estate market,” said Mr. Stein.

Founded in 1950, IES Abroad enrolls more than 5,500 students annually from 185 U.S. colleges and universities in high-quality academic study abroad and internship opportunities. Since its inception, nearly 80,000 students have participated in programs throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand.
