Digital Printer Leases 66,000 SF for Five Years

Digital Printing firm Mimeo Inc. has signed a five-year lease for 66,048 square feet of industrial space at 3525 Arden Rd. in a relocation of its printing operations from three locations in Emeryville, according to Colliers International, which represented the printing firm in the lease. The new space is virtually "plug and play” for the -printing firm, says Joe Yamin, a Colliers vice president who represented Mimeo. He notes that the building is centrally located at the base of the San Mateo bridge and features many improvements advantageous to the printing firm's operations, such as heavy power, HVAC and parking that meets Mimeo's requirements. ...

... Built in 1960 as the world headquarters of Henry J. Kaiser’s industrial empire, Kaiser Center is a 28-story office tower that includes a variety of retail space and a 1,339-space parking structure. The property also features a 3.5-acre rooftop garden with views of Lake Merritt, San Francisco and the Oakland/East Bay hills. Terms of the deal, in which Studley represented Foley & Mansfield, were not disclosed.
