Cody tells us the deal is exciting for Uptown as a whole because Bechtel is one of the few historical anchors left in the submarket. It's been there in some capacity since the early '80s—Hines built 3000 Post Oak as a build-to-suit for Combustion Engineering, which became a part of Bechtel through the years. Studley's Derrell Curry and Mark O'Donnell repped Bechtel, Ziegler Cooper is designing the renovations, and Balfour Beatty will build the garage.
