Mitchell S. Steir, Chairman & CEO of Savills Studley, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Barker to the firm’s Board of Directors. Barker has more than 24 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry— 20 of those with Savills Studley— and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Branch Manager of the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices.

Barker began his career in the Los Angeles office of Savills Studley (then known as Studley), working as an intern during his final year at UCLA. Focusing exclusively on tenant representation, Barker has provided his clients with advice and expertise in the process of acquisitions, dispositions, complex deal structuring, municipal incentive negotiations, financial analyses and lease negotiations. To date, he has executed transactions valued in excess of 2.5 billion dollars in 38 cities and 19 states.
As Branch Manager of the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices, Barker provides strategic direction and leadership, and has helped the office become the premiere tenant representation practice in the Bay Area. He also Co-Chairs Savills Studley's national Law Firm Practice Group.

He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Barker is involved in numerous charities to benefit Alzheimer’s research.
