The National Association for Business Resources has named 101 businesses as the best to work for in Houston.
This is the third year the Michigan-based organization has held the "Best and Brightest Companies to Work For" awards in Houston. Last year it recognized 65 companies, and the year before it honored 32.
An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories. They include compensation, benefits and employee solutions; employee enrichment, engagement and retention; employee education and development; recruitment, selection and orientation; employee achievement and recognition; communication and shared vision; diversity and inclusion; work-life balance; community initiatives and strategic company performance.
The companies will also vie for 11 “elite” awards — one for each category and the Best of the Best Overall award — which will be announced at the awards event in November. Last year, Xcution Inc., Dean’s Professional Services and Blinds.com were the three elite award winners.
The awards event will be Nov. 3 at the Marriott Westchase. Networking starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by certified educational workshops beginning at 8 a.m. and the awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Tickets for the symposium and awards luncheon are $175 for individuals and $1,600 for tables of 10.
