SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, Inc. has signed an eight-year, 33,000-square-foot lease renewal and extension for the entire eighth floor at 460 W. 34th St. in New York City.
The 18-story, 584,116-square-foot Master Printer's Bldg was originally constructed in 1927 on more than three-quarters of an acre in the Penn Plaza / Garment District submarket of Midtown Manhattan, at the southeast corner of Tenth Avenue. With asking rents in the mid-40's, the asset is home to numerous tenants including Robert AM Stern Architects, YAI National Institute for People with Disabilities, Barr & Barr, RICG, and Counsel Press.
Daniel Horowitz, Paul Revson, Jeffrey Peck, and Zev Holzman with Studley represented the tenant. Edward J. Hart of Kaufman Realty represented the landlord in-house.
"Given the acceleration of the development in the immediate surrounding area at Hudson Yards, SBLI USA saw value in extending its commitment and staying in the neighborhood," said Revson. "With the exciting changes occurring in the area, such as the construction of Manhattan West and the extension of the 7 train, a renewal proved to be in our client’s best interest..."SBLI USA Inks 8 Year Extension for 33,000 SF
