October 20, 2014

ASCNYC (ascnyc.org) is a New York City based non-profit organization that helps New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditions make lasting, positive changes toward health, housing, recovery and self-sufficiency. Each year, ASCNYC spotlights selected Positive Changemakers who have transformed the local community through their tireless efforts.

Savills Studley Executive Managing Director, Marc Shapses, has been selected as this years honoree for sharing his business expertise and personal passion to elevate how non-profits across New York City improve lives.

Being recognized by such an amazing organization is an overwhelming honor, Shapses said. ASCNYC is a remarkable organization that helps thousands of people each year take charge of their health and reclaim their lives, he added.

Marc embodies the spirit of these awards, said Sharen I. Duke, CEO/Executive Director of ASCNYC. Hes helped create positive change across New York City by guiding nonprofits like ASCNYC toward opportunities and growth. Shapses secured the lease on ASCNYCs new Midtown Central Offices set to open this winter in Herald Square.
