“We saw an opportunity to move our headquarters, but didn’t want to move far away from our current location in Gaithersburg,” said Emmett Pepe, BroadSoft’s vice president, corporate controller.

BroadSoft, founded in late 1998, also has offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Telecom and cable companies use BroadSoft’s software to provide customers with telephone over Internet service. The company has more than 300 employees, about one-third of which work abroad.
