Greg Taubin joined Studley (now Savills) immediately following his graduation from Tulane University in 1994 and is a Vice Chairman, operating out of the firm’s New York office. Greg’s area of expertise is strategic commercial real estate planning, including early lease restructurings and renewals, relocations, and the acquisition and disposition of facilities. Greg thoroughly understands the New York real estate market, enabling him to structure complex occupancy solutions that align with his clients’ business goals.

Greg has closed over 15 million square feet of leasing transactions over the course of his career, with clients ranging from law and financial services firms to technology companies.

Greg’s transactions include several acquisitions and dispositions totaling 1,000,000 square feet on behalf of Tiffany & Co., multiple leases totaling 700,000 square feet on behalf of Kirkland Ellis, a 30,000 square-foot lease and subsequent 100,000 square-foot expansion on behalf of Vista Equity Partners,100,000 square feet of leases on behalf of Hugo Boss, and 100,000 square feet of leases on behalf of Transfix. This is in addition to other notable leases, subleases, and lease restructures on behalf of various industry-leading companies.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

For the past two decades, Greg has been one of Savills top producers and consistently amongst the firm’s top 10 revenue generators. In 2022, he set Savills record for revenue and was named as its “Numero Uno”, the award given to the firm’s top producer in North America.

Greg has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2007, he was named one of Real Estate New York’s “Commercial Broker All Stars” and made the CoStar Power Broker list that same year, ranking among New York City's top brokers. In 2010, Greg was named one of the “15 People You Should Know” by NYInc magazine and two years later nominated for REBNY’s 2012 “Ingenious Deal of the Year Award.”

Greg also devotes time to important charitable work, including serving on the board of directors for Making Headway, a foundation dedicated to the comfort and care of children with brain and spinal cord tumors.
