After practicing law for 6 years, Jarod joined Savills (then Studley) in 2006 and is currently at the forefront of tenant advisory in New York City, having structured several million square feet of leases in a variety of sectors including legal, fashion, education, financial, and non-profit. Beyond his real estate practice, Jarod holds several senior leadership positions in the New York office, including the firm’s New York Advisory Board, Junior Broker Development Program Lead, and Market Meeting Moderator. Jarod is known for his market knowledge, strategic direction, and deal instincts.

Jarod’s track record of success includes major assignments for The Institute of Culinary Education’s 70,000 sf relocation to Brookfield Place; the New York Liquidation Bureau’s 45,000 sf relocation to 180 Maiden Lane; McAloon & Friedman’s 35,000 sf relocation to 1 State Street Plaza; Land’n Sea’s 32,000 sf renewal at 1440 Broadway; Candlestick Capital’s 20,000 sf sublease and relocation to 300 Park Avenue; propNspoon’s 45,000 sf relocation to Long Island City; MoloLamken's 17,000 sf relocation to 430 Park Avenue; International Gemological Institute’s 25,000 sf relocation to 545 Fifth Avenue; GLSEN's 12,000 sf relocation to 110 William Street; and Playbill’s 10,000 sf relocation to 729 Seventh Avenue. In addition, Jarod played a key role in Freshfields’ 200,000 sf+ of leasing transactions; United Healthcare’s 65,000 sf renewal/restructure at One Penn Plaza; WP Carey’s 65,000 sf relocation to One Manhattan West; Lippincott's 30,000 sf renewal/ expansion at 499 Park Avenue; and TJX Companies’ 50,000 sf relocation to 5 Bryant Park.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Jarod was awarded the Edward S. Gordon Memorial Award for the Most Ingenious Office Leasing Deal of 2021 – “A Gem of a Formula – Keeping an Industry in Place at 608 Fifth Avenue.”

Active in his community, he serves as a member of the Board of the Directors of MHNE (Mental Health News Education).
