Vice chairman of strategy and finance, Kurt can be best characterized as an innovator—not only in the way he approaches his clients’ real estate requirements and challenges but also in the many forward-thinking systems he has developed.

A Savills veteran since 1979, Kurt has not only worked on some of the company’s most important transactions but has also played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth. He developed many of the firm’s first computer programs, network and financial models as well as its first lease audit team. As the firms longest serving analyst, Kurt created what is now an integral component to Savills team-oriented structure.

Kurt works on one of Savills most prolific teams which focuses on nonprofit, law and financial services firms as well as public sector clients. His team has represented 15 of the 50 largest nonprofits in Manhattan and handles all facets of strategic planning, lease negotiations, building acquisitions, dispositions and development. Kurt frequently provides his clients with ancillary information that pertains to their business even if it doesn’t relate to real estate at all. Some of his most notable clients have included the New York Public Library, American Red Cross, Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, Brooklyn Law School, Sullivan & Cromwell, The New School, Clinton Global Initiative and CUNY. Kurt’s keen understanding of the market, real estate documentation and its financial impact, along with his data analytics and research capabilities, has led him to handle numerous complex transactions, strategic planning assignments and the representation of clients in large arbitrations.
