Professional Expertise

As corporate managing director, Mark Roberts heads both the redevelopment and healthcare practice groups in Northern Virginia. Mark joined Savills in 1985 and has completed over 11 million square feet of lease and sale transactions. His strengths include strategic planning, consulting, financial analysis, financial engineering, transaction structuring and negotiation strategies/tactics. Mark has extensive experience with governmental entities as an advisor to Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Arlington County and Arlington Public Schools.

Mark has extensive expertise with leases, recasting leases, renewals, property sales and maximizing property values for user owners across various industries including education, engineering, government, healthcare, nonprofit associations and professional services. This technical background has proven invaluable in analyzing, negotiating and closing complicated multi-party transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Mark was a CPA and senior auditor for three years at Grant Thornton LLP in Washington, DC.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

In addition to being a licensed real estate salesperson, Mark is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Outside of the office, Mark is active in several organizations including Toys for Tots and as president of the Hickory Vale Farm Association.
