Bill Bauman joined Savills Studley in February 2009 to lead the firm’s National Retail Service Group. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Colliers International Company since 1994 as senior vice president, partner and manager of the Retail Properties Group, where he was instrumental in building a full-service retail practice group. Bill and his team specialize in retail land planning, developer consultation, sales, and national retail tenant representation. He has an extensive background in land acquisition and disposition programs, pre-leasing commitments, retail tenant representation, investment sales, development consulting services, and overall retail market analysis. Bill’s team provides comprehensive tenant representation consultation services including expert market and trade area analysis, competitor analysis, lease negotiation services, implementation of roll out strategies, and overall market expertise.
Bill presently heads a full-service retail brokerage team consisting of 10 brokers specializing in various retail brokerage disciplines. In addition to building and leading the National Retail Services Group for Savills Studley, Bill has an accomplished track record representing major clients in the execution of their real estate initiatives. He actively participates in the entire real estate process including coordinating the overall strategy based on the individual needs of his clients. Bill assembles and leads highly specialized teams—each team member selected based on their skill set and level of expertise.
Recognized as one of the top retail brokerage providers regionally and nationally, Bill and his team have represented national tenants such as Wal-Mart, Target, Lowes, Toys “R” Us, Michaels, Barnes and Noble, Pier 1 Imports, Cost Plus, and major developers such as Vestar Development Co., Regency Centers, Pacific Theatres Realty Corporation, and Zelman Development Co. and Panattoni Development Co.

Consistently a top performer, Bill has been recognized repeatedly by the firms for which he has worked. In 1998 and 1999, he was named a Top Retail Broker by Los Angeles Business Journal and is annually recognized as one of Real Estate Forum’s Top Brokers. Prior to joining Savills Studley, Bill was the top retail producer for Colliers International from 1994 through 2008 and the top producer overall for Colliers International Southern California region for 6 of the last 8 years.
Bill received his Bachelor of Arts in history from Willamette University.
