Charles D. Suh is a director in Savills Studley’s Project Management Services Group and works with a variety of mid- to large-scale corporations to address their facility and project management needs. He began his career in the Southern California real estate industry in 1987 as a financial analyst for Transpacific Development Company. Soon thereafter, he pursued his passion for construction by transferring to the Development Department as a TI coordinator/construction manager. His career shifted to general contracting in 1991 when he joined Johnston & Associates, Inc. He held positions such as project superintendent, project manager, senior project manager, vice-president and president & equity shareholder at J&A. Just prior to joining the firm, Charles was with Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company.
Charles has been involved in a myriad of projects for a cross-section of industries including: commercial office, industrial, retail, food service, hospitality, biomedical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, medical, data centers, telecommunications and light manufacturing. He is also experienced with energy management systems, security systems, audio visual systems and telecommunication/data systems.
His experience in all aspects of asset management, construction and technology systems provides him with the acumen to identify clients’ needs in the negotiation of contracts, cost savings opportunities and execution of aggressive schedules. His experiences as an entrepreneur have added to his leadership and communication skills, and he takes an innovative strategic approach to developing creative solutions for complex occupancy issues. Charles looks at the larger picture for his clients and utilizes his strengths in strategic planning, analyzing, researching, organizing and problem solving, mitigate risk and to meet client objectives.
Charles is a past member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and has served as president and board member of the Orange County Chapter. He is a LEED accredited professional. Charles is a World Taekwondo Federation Black Belt and has served in several leadership positions in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Charles summitted Mount Kilimanjaro in 2002.
Charles graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. He also holds a California State Contractor’s License (#799719).
