Over the course of Cheri O’Neil’s more than 35 years in commercial real estate, she has solidified herself as one of Tampa’s prestigious brokers, advising companies throughout the metropolitan area and beyond. Serving as senior vice president, Cheri is an expert in completing transactions involving Class A office and industrial space, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, workplace utilization and efficiency and financial analysis.

Cheri’s background in real estate accounting, property management, development, construction management, landlord leasing and investment sales, coupled with years of market knowledge, provide her with the necessary all-encompassing skill set and perspective to guide corporate clients seamlessly through any transaction.

Prior to joining Savills, Cheri negotiated transactions from the other side of the table for institutional and private equity ownership groups for more than 12 years , serving as senior vice president for both Carter & Associates and Lincoln Property Company. Her familiarity and solid experience with development and construction as well as contract-driven and nonprofit assignments contribute to her proven track record in structuring and implementing fully sound transactions.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

Cheri is a past president and board member of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) West Coast Florida District. She is a past board member of the Florida Gulf Coast Association of Realtors (FGCAR). In addition to CCIM and FGCAR, Cheri is also a member of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CIREI), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).

Cheri received the designation of ‘Top 10 Power Broker’ in 2003, 2004, and 2006 from the CoStar Group. In addition, she has been selected as a FGCAR Pinnacle Award’ winner every year from 2001 - 2017, claiming ‘Top Office Producer’, ‘Top General Brokerage Producer’ and ‘Million Dollar Producer’ several times each. She was named one of the ‘Top 20 Women in Florida Commercial Real Estate’ in 2005 by the Florida Real Estate Journal. Cheri sits on the board of directors of Children’s Home Network and is board chair of The Children’s Home Properties.
