Chris joined Savills Studley’s Midtown Manhattan office in 1980 where he was responsible for transaction lease analysis and management of corporate brokerage accounts. As one of the original analyst in the company, he helped develop Savills Studley’s first computer-based lease and purchase analysis program and was a key member in the development of the company’s national internal training program. Chris’ New York transactions include working with the Savills Studley team responsible for the restructuring of Avon Products New York headquarters at 9 West 57th Street to provide for the 120,000-square-foot lease to the advertising firm of Wells, Rich, and Greene.

Chris established Savills Studley’s San Francisco office in 1986 and managed the office for 12 years. Since joining the firm, Chris has been involved in almost 250 transactions totaling in excess of 7 million square feet with such firms as: Lazard Frères; Shearson Lehman Brothers; Smith Barney; Cowen & Co; Gruntal & Co.; and Charles Schwab. His practice has also included branch banking consulting and brokerage responsibilities for: Credit Suisse; Société Générale; Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank; Mitsui Taiyo Kobe Bank, Ltd; Far East National Bank; and The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Chris left Savills Studley’s San Francisco office in 2003 and prior to rejoining Studley in the Miami office in 2008, was the chief operating officer of Reliance Housing Foundation, Inc., a 501©(3) nonprofit affordable housing development and management company. In addition to day-to-day management responsibilities, including the computerizing the company reporting and management functions, he was involved with the post-Katrina acquisition and re-development of 200 Carondelet in New Orleans. The 24-story historic landmark building, originally built in 1929, was reclaimed in an adaptive-reuse project to provide much needed transit-oriented affordable, market-rate housing in New Orleans’ central business district

Activities & Achievements

Chris has been involved in creating many national/corporate account programs including “Milestones,” the NACORE recognized process-management program developed in conjunction with Aetna Insurance Company and Gensler & Associates, and with the creation of other national account programs with such companies as: Home Insurance; Andersen Consulting; Smith Barney; and Dames & Moore Engineering.


Chris graduated from the Christopher Newport College of the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with minor concentrations in French and computer programming languages. He pursued his master’s in critical theory at Stetson University.
