Colm was hired as a corporate managing director to undertake the firm’s headquarters relocation, and to bolster the firm’s project management services. With 12 years at Ernst & Young and 9 years at New York Telephone Co., his valuable skill set provides Savills Studley clients with a more comprehensive tenant advocacy team that oversees all aspects of the real estate transaction—from the initial meeting to move-in.
Colm’s role with Savills Studley brokerage teams is to help clients focus on risks inherent to the planning and execution of construction projects, which ultimately saves Savills Studley clients time and money. Colm has experience as an HVAC design engineer, project and property manager and construction auditor. His expertise in mechanical engineering helps to guide clients to the most appropriate building choices from the outset. His responsibilities include pre-transaction counsel, as well as, post-transaction management of the program process including hiring and managing all outside contractors and designers. His in-depth experience in project budgeting and contract execution helps clients ensure that budget and timetable requirements are being met.
Colm spent 12 years with Ernst & Young’s Construction and Real Estate Advisory Services Group, working across all commercial property types on assignments that included acquisition assessment, business mobility and site selection, construction budget evaluations and contract compliance auditing, facilities operating expense cost reduction, lease audits, real estate strategy and expert testimony. Some of his clients of note included: Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Mohegan Sun, Aeropostale and Scholastic.
Colm is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers. He also volunteers with the Boys & Girls Club in New Jersey.
Colm graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Pace University and a Master of Science in real estate from New York University. Colm is a NY State licensed professional engineer (PE).
