Dan Foley became a member of the Savills Studley team in March 2004 when Strategic Alliance Partners, a company which Dan co-founded in 1993, joined forces with Savills Studley, establishing its Northern New Jersey office. Dan specializes in developing and implementing strategic planning and tenant advisory services.
Dan has represented many companies throughout the years including Eisai Inc. with the relocation of its headquarters to a build-to-suit facility and Coca-Cola Enterprises with leases in excess of 1,700,000 square feet as well as its acquisition and subsequent disposition of 42 acres in Newark. He has also represented The Donna Karan Company on numerous acquisitions and dispositions. Dan has represented the International Paper Company nationally and has negotiated over 7 million square feet of transactions on its behalf.
He began his real estate career at CB Richard Ellis where he worked for 10 years and was one of the five top producers in New Jersey for nine consecutive years. Prior to CB, Dan worked for Motorola Communications and was the top-ranked salesperson out of more than 4,000 salespeople nationally.
Dan has received accolades throughout his career in commercial real estate. The following are some of his more recent awards, in 2005, he was honored by ProLogis, the world’s largest owner of industrial real estate, with its ”Broker of the Year” award for the year’s largest lease transaction. Also in 2005, he won the “Deal of the Year” from Advance Realty, one of New Jersey’s most prominent developers, for the $100,000,000 plus headquarters lease for Eisai Inc.
Dan is a perennial recipient of the Costar “Power Broker” award and in 2006 was the only broker nationally to be recognized in both the office and industrial sectors. In 2007, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) recognized Dan for the largest build-to-suit transaction in New Jersey. Dan has been recognized by Real Estate NJ magazine as one of New Jersey’s Broker All Stars, most recently in 2007 and 2008/2009.
In 2009, Dan received the Office Deal of the Year award from Hartz Mountain, New Jersey’s largest landlord. Also in 2009, he was honored by SIOR for New Jersey's largest office lease deal as well as the state's largest industrial deal with a cooperating broker. Bergen Community College, the second largest college in New Jersey, awarded Dan the 2009 Medallion Award of Merit for corporate responsibility. This award is given for notable philanthropic endeavors and significant contribution to the business community.
In 2010, Dan's LEED certified build-to-suit for the Coca Cola Company took 2nd place in the NAIOP deal of the year. Dan was also the recipient of the 2010 Power Broker Award (4th award out of the last 5 years).
Dan is a member of The Board of Directors of the Bergen Community College Foundation.
