Professional Expertise

David Lipson is a vice chairman and co-regional manager based in the Savills Studley Washington, DC, office. He has served on the firm’s board of directors since 2004. To date, David has participated in real estate transactions totaling more than 30 million square feet with an asset value of more than $9 billion.

He leads the Savills Studley Federal Government Real Estate Advisory practice, which is responsible for assisting the General Service Administration with its 198 million-square-foot national portfolio of leased space. David and his team have negotiated more than 1,500 real estate transactions on behalf of the United States government and its contractors, including new lease structuring, land and building sales, and build-to-suit developments.

David specializes in the financial restructuring of leased and owned assets, and has led acquisition, restructuring and disposition projects for some of the largest and most prestigious office tenants in the nation.

Education

David received an Honours BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Christ Church, Oxford University, and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an AB in Economics. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
