David Lipson is an executive vice president and co-regional manager in Savills Studley’s Washington, DC office. He has served on the firm’s Board of Directors since 2004. To date, Mr. Lipson has participated in real estate transactions totaling more than 30 million square feet with an asset value of more than $9 billion. David heads Savills Studley’s federal government real estate advisory practice, which is responsible for assisting the General Service Administration’s with its 198-million-square-foot national portfolio of leased space. He and his team have negotiated more than 1000 real estate transactions on behalf of the United States government and its contractors, including structuring new leases, land and building sales, and build-to-suit developments.
David specializes in the financial restructuring of leased and owned assets and has led acquisition, restructuring and disposition projects for some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious office tenants.
David received an Honours BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Christ Church, Oxford University, and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an AB in Economics. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
