As the director of project management services for Savills Studley’s Washington, D.C. and Suburban Washington offices, Dave’s responsibilities include coordination of all phases of project management services from strategic planning to on-site execution.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in real estate and construction and has been responsible for a combined total of over 5.2 million square feet of tenant and base building construction since joining the firm in January of 2004. Dave has extensive experience in the design, coordination and management of multi-task projects and offers a global knowledge of the design and construction process.
Prior to joining Savills Studley, Dave was vice president and senior project manager for The Orr Company, Inc., a fee development and project management firm located in Northern Virginia. In this position, he managed the design and construction of large build-to-suit commercial projects, and substantial tenant improvement projects totaling more than 1.5 million square feet. In addition to managing his own projects, Dave was responsible for resource and staff allocation for all the project management teams within the firm.
Earlier in his career, Dave was the director of construction for a large general contractor (volume in excess of $80m/year) and a partner in a commercial custom woodworking business.
Activities & Achievements
Outside of the office, Dave is active in Girls’ Fastpitch Softball. He has served as a Commissioner for the Arlington 16U league and coaches a championship 16U team.
Dave has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Iowa.
