David joined Savills Studley in 2016 with more than 30 years’ experience in finance and supply chain management from both a consulting and industry perspective. His multidisciplinary background provides an excellent perspective which he has leveraged in several areas across the supply chain. Over the last several years, David has especially focused in the areas of distribution and network design, transportation management and optimization, distribution strategies, and cold chain management. His focus on distribution management system design has incorporated optimal mixes of third party logistics providers from multiple supply chain areas, as well as internal company-managed solutions. He has performed supply chain management work throughout several industries, including transportation, telecommunications, consumer products, food service, retail, manufacturing and service industries. David is also a co-founder of the Integrated Food Chain (IFC) Center at Georgia, an industry/academic joint initiative to identify and resolve critical integration issues across the end-to-end food chain.

David's background was greatly impacted during the early part of his career through eight years of management experience with supply chain industry leader, Federal Express. As the leader of the internal consulting group, David was responsible for identifying long-term improvement processes throughout the entire FedEx global network and addressing critical issues impacting FedEx operations. His responsibilities included leading initiatives to address service issues in Asia, Europe and throughout the U.S. A key element of his responsibilities also included development of operational risk management initiatives throughout the world. Because of the wide-ranging impact of the group’s work, his scope of responsibilities included regular interaction with FedEx senior executive management.

David's experience also includes five years at consulting leader, Cap Gemini/Ernst & Young, where as a member of executive management, he led comprehensive supply chain engagements for major corporate clients. His focus industry segments included telecommunications, utilities, transportation and distribution. In addition, David was a member of the Global Sourcing and Suppler Management Committee which developed leading edge strategies for client projects. His major responsibilities included sales, client management, and project delivery for millions of dollars of revenue on an annual basis. David left Cap Gemini to cofound a boutique supply chain management consulting firm which he managed for more than 18 years. At this firm, he was responsible for practice management as well as project management initiatives in its logistics and distribution practice in a practice with hundreds of engagements.
