As a senior managing director in Savills Studley’s Washington, DC office, Demetri has expertise in negotiations, real estate financial modeling, construction management and building systems. He brings a unique architectural and construction background which allows him to continue to deliver the results that clients expect from Savills Studley. To date, Demetri has managed more than 3.7 million square feet of commercial real estate transactions for an impressive roster of prestigious clients including The Bozzuto Group, American Hospital Association and Vanda Pharmaceuticals.
Prior to joining the firm, Demetri was a project manager at Clark Construction, where he specialized in pre-construction and construction management of major base-building commercial office developments. He also spent several years as an architect for both Gensler and RTKL, which allows him to provide exceptional counsel to tenants facing construction issues related to base-building and interior spaces.
Activities & Achievements
In 2014, two of Demetri’s transactions were recognized by CREBA as finalists for “Washington, DC Regional Leasing Transaction of the Year” and “Maryland Leasing Transaction of the Year.” Demetri has received several Costar "Power Broker" awards (2008, 2007). He has also won the prestigious "Craftsmanship Award" from the Washington Building Congress. His scholastic achievement during graduate school earned him the coveted International Real Estate Federation's FIABCI-USA Award and his design work for the Federal Reserve has been featured by Interior Design Magazine.
Demetri holds a Master of Science in real estate from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Science in engineering from The Catholic University of America. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Catholic University of America.
