Professional Expertise

Demetri is a senior managing director in the Washington, DC office at Savills Studley, where he focuses his practice on all aspects of tenant representation. In addition to his work in the metropolitan Washington, DC area, Demetri also serves the Suburban Virginia office. Since joining the firm in 2001, Demetri has structured more than 4 million square feet of commercial real estate transactions for an impressive roster of prestigious clients including the DC Bar, Mitsubishi Electric, The Bozzuto Group, American Hospital Association and Vanda Pharmaceuticals. His unique background in construction and architecture provides his clients a thorough analysis and experienced perspective on the market. Prior to Savills Studley, Demetri worked for five years at The Clark Construction Group as a project manager. He specialized in the pre-construction and construction management of large-scale base building commercial office developments, which included pricing, schedule and coordination between owners, architects, sub-contractors and all various consultants. Demetri also spent several years as an architect for Gensler and RTLK, focusing primarily on interior architecture and design.

Activities & Achievements

Demetri actively serves as an executive committee member on the School of Architecture’s Executive Development Board at The Catholic University of America. He is well-respected within the commercial real estate industry, and has received numerous awards and accolades for his accomplishments. In 2014, the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association selected two of Demetri’s deals as a finalist for “Washington, DC Regional Leasing Transaction of the Year” and “Maryland Leasing Transaction of the Year.” He received CoStar’s Power Broker award for two consecutive years (2007-2008), and was the winner of the prestigious Craftsmanship Award from the Washington Building Congress. Demetri’s design work for the Federal Reserve was featured by Interior Design Magazine, and his scholastic achievement during graduate school earned him the coveted International Real Estate Federation FIABCI-USA Award. 


In 2001, Demetri graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Science in real estate. He earned a second Master of Science in engineering in 1997 from The Catholic University of America, where he also received his Bachelor of Architecture in 1991.
