Ed Bowerman joined Savills Project Management Services Group in 2010, responsible for coordinating all phases of construction, from strategic planning and logistics to on-site execution and management. His ability to work within a spectrum of industries makes Ed such a versatile asset, able to understand the ins and outs of office spaces, retail properties, hospitality builds, and education needs. Over his three decades of experience, Ed has managed the operations and development projects for leading public and privately held organizations like Valencia Development Company, JP Morgan Chase, Trammell Crow, the City of Boston, Bechtel, and Graeber, Simmons & Cowan.

Prior to joining Savills, Ed served as the project development manager for the Valencia Development Company, overseeing design development of the new Hotel Sorella in City Centre, Houston. In order to evaluate sites for construction, Ed prepared cost-effective budgets, letters of intent, management and technical services agreements, and coordination of sit acquisition efforts. Besides ground-up construction, Ed also managed renovations and upgrades to existing properties, as well as led design teams from programming to construction.

Ed also has an extensive background on the financial side of real estate, serving at the project manager and then vice president of JP Morgan Chase’s real estate business, where he developed a new $57 million operations campus. For this deal, Ed’s efforts managed to cut $1 million in cost, and completed ahead of schedule. From ground-up construction and base-building infrastructure upgrades, to design management and interior improvements, Ed has done it all.
