With more than 20 years of experience in the field of corporate real estate, Jim has built a successful track record of providing strategic real estate counsel to Fortune 100 companies. As a managing director in Savills Studley's Suburban Washington, D.C. office, Jim is responsible for the design and development of the national platform for the delivery of innovative and creative project management services for the firm's Occupier Services clients. The practice provides a multitude of design & construction services, including: tenant improvement and interior build-out oversight, move management, building commissioning, portfolio upfit planning, program management, and facilities condition assessment.
Jim's deep knowledge of the service provider landscape is based upon his vast experience working from both the client and vendor perspectives. Prior to joining the firm, Jim was the Southeast region program manager for Deloitte LLP, based in McLean, VA. In this role, he was the single point of contact for all Deloitte Workplace Services Group strategic and capital projects in the Southeast region. The position took full ownership and accountability for all strategic and capital projects, from leasing through project close out, including the selection and management of third-party service providers (e.g. transaction management, project management, architecture and engineering consultants) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Activities & Achievements
Jim is a licensed architect in the state of Illinois and a member of CoreNet Global. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Hill School in Middleburg, VA. and was a contributing editor to "The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part I" published by the BOMI institute in June 2005.
Jim holds a master's degree in architecture from the University of Illinois, Chicago as well as an AB in visual studies and religion from Dartmouth College.
