Mr. Baker is an Executive Managing Director of Savills Studley with over 25 years of experience in real estate investment banking. During Mr. Baker's career he has completed over $14 billion of real estate transactions involving major multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and mixed use assets located throughout the United States and Caribbean basin. Representative clients include: Blackstone, Brookfield, CSFB/DLJ, Island Capital/CIII, Blackacre Capital, GID, Lazard Freres Partners, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Lincoln Properties, Prudential Insurance, Baupost, Bell Atlantic, Tishman Speyer, Cornerstone/Mass Mutual, Simpson Housing, and the KRE Group. Mr. Baker began his career at Eastdil Realty, Inc. where he was a senior officer and partner with responsibility for conventional and securitized debt and equity acquisitions and financings totaling over $5 billion, completed in partnership with Nomura Securities. In addition, Mr. Baker formerly served as a senior officer of the Real Estate and Commercial Mortgage Division of Nomura Securities International Inc. where he originated and structured conventional and securitized debt and equity investments on a principal basis and was a member of Nomura’s REIT underwriting team with responsibility for credit facility, secured/unsecured debt and equity commitments for public and private real estate operating companies. Immediately prior to joining Savills Granite, Mr. Baker was a Senior Managing Director of Secured Capital Corp. and co-head of Secured Capital’s New York Office.
