Jerry Thornbury provides multi-market tenant representation and transaction management services for public sector entities and select corporations. Based out of Savills Tampa Bay office, Jerry is Senior Managing Director of Global Occupier Services. In his role, Jerry specializes in strategic planning for clients with a focus on portfolio optimization and identifying consolidation opportunities to increase occupancy efficiencies. Jerry applies his financial and analytical expertise in all contract negotiations so his clients may identify, plan for and achieve cost savings in their real estate portfolio.

In addition to identifying ideal locations and handling negotiations for his clients to maximize cost savings, Jerry also provides his clients with project management oversight from lease execution to move-in, in order to minimize construction costs and assure a smooth transition in a relocation or stay-in-place renovation. At a given time, Jerry can successfully manage more than a dozen clients that are required to follow specific, regulated procedures during their site selection procurement process. In his more than 10 years in the industry, Jerry has focused solely on tenants such as reputable entities like the Department of Health, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Department of Revenue.

In 2018, Savills acquired Jerry’s former Florida-based firm, Vertical Integration. As a strategic consultant for over three years with them, Jerry provided integrated, full-service real estate solutions nationally and internationally for corporate and government entities. Jerry also worked for PwC and Grubb & Ellis, where he was a commercial real estate associate.

Awards, Achievements and Activities

In his free time, Jerry volunteers as a basketball coach for the Berkeley Prep High School team. Professionally, he has been recognized by multiple organizations. The Florida Department of Education presented Jerry with the ‘Vendor Appreciation Award’ for saving taxpayer money. He was also named a CoStar ‘Power Broker’ and earned ‘Rookie of the Year’ at Grubb & Ellis.
